The "NGO Global Village", with its theme of "Earth Dreaming", is a project that has been planned and organized by 'Japan Association for the 2005 World Exposition' and symbolizes the theme of EXPO 2005 AICHI JAPAN.
It is a project where internationally active NPOs and NGOs gather together in relation to "Decade of education for sustainable development", which was proposed by Japan and then adopted by the U.N., and is where participating NPOs and NGOs can implement the "Participatory Learning Programs", mainly concerned with nature/environment and international exchange/cooperation under the concept of 'Learning for Sustainability'.
Five NPO/NGO partnership units every month and 30 units throughout the EXPO are planning to participate.
"NGO Global Village" is located in the "Interactive Fun Zone" of Nagakute Area where a Ferris wheel has been installed in the vicinity of the Village and defined as a place where families can relax together.

We have provided “carbon dioxide emission rights” (owned by Cosmo Oil) equivalent to the amount of CO2 generated in the management and activities of the “NGO Global Village,” thereby making it a “CO2 free village.” Cosmo Oil is also supporting the “NGO Global Village” in an “invisible” way.

We are conducting an interactive/participatory environmental/scientific event, in which you can “actually experience” “carbon dioxide (CO2) absorption by plants” in real time. It could be an ideal independent study project during the summer vacation of elementary school children (especially fifth and sixth graders).

Introduces the efforts made by Cosmo Oil towards the environment such as the “Zero Flare Project,” an unprecedented effort in crude oil production, and the “Living With Our Planet” Project, aiming at global environmental preservation.
