“Opening of First Joint Self-Service Station & Ministop Store”

Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yaichi Kimura) and Ministop Co. (Head Office: Chiba City, Chiba; President: Hiroshi Yokoo) agreed in April 2004 to jointly develop a combined Ministop convenience store and self-service SS. Cosmo Oil is pleased to inform you that the first such store, the “Ministop & Cosmo Yuuki Bypass Store”, will be opened as follows.

2. Main Features
   

   (1)	Self-service SS providing advanced convenience Providing the “function of a combo store”, integrating the function of a self-service filling station together with the functions of a convenience store and fast food shop to meet the customer’s demand
   (2)	Layout which enables purchases according to their purposes The layout has been planned with function-based customer flows in mind, ensuring sufficient visibility of and movability between functions.
   (3)	Integrated operation of self-service SS and combo store Integrated operation has been achieved by not directly staffing the self-service SS, but by establishing a system where the Ministop staff manage the self-service SS area.
