Fuel Cell Field Tests to Begin
LPG Reforming Type Stationary Fuel Cell System
Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yaichi Kimura) and Cosmo Petroleum Gas Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaaki Takeuchi) applied to field-test fuel cells in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, and on this occasion, we announce that we have commenced field test operations of an LPG Reforming Type Stationary Fuel Cell System at the Isaka Dam Cycle Park (located in Isakacho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture), in collaboration with Toshiba Fuel Cell Power Systems Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiyuki Kimura). A brief overview follows.

| (6) Overview of test operations: |
The field tests will allow users of the Isaka Dam Cycle Park to experience a fuel cell cogeneration system. This will be done by the electricity generated assisting the administration office at the Isaka Dam Cycle Park to reduce the amount of electricity they consume, and also by the hot water generated through the recovery of exhaust heat supplying hot water to the footbath tanks which have concurrently been installed. Through these field tests, we will both disseminate and educate
with information on fuel cells. |
