Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; capital: ¥107.2 billion; president: Yaichi Kimura) in April 2002 launched global environmental contribution activities under the slogan of “Living with Our Planet” to realize the wish of customers who “want to do something good for the Earth,” and we celebrate the seventh year of this initiative in fiscal year 2008.

The “Living with Our Planet” projects are activities that we have been working with “Cosmo the Card Opus Eco” and “Cosmo the Card Eco” cardholders (hereinafter referred to as “Eco” cardholders) to implement toward the ultimate goal of the “realization and development of sustainable society (Earth)” which the slogan represents.

We now invite new global warming prevention projects for which we can provide financial support in the fiscal year 2008 as part of our “Living with Our Planet” projects toward the “realization and development of sustainable society” under the theme of “global warming prevention” in the following manner.

1. Cosmo Oil Eco Card Fund

The Cosmo Oil Eco Card Fund receives an annual donation of ¥500 from each Eco cardholder and operates with money combining the Eco cardholder donations with Cosmo Oil’s contribution of a portion of sales from its “Cosmo the Card” business and contributions from some members of the Cosmo Oil Group to fund a variety of the “Living with Our Planet” global environmental contribution project activities both in Japan and worldwide.

2. Guidelines for Invitation of Applications for New Global Warming Prevention Projects

1. Activity Concept
   We will pursue sub themes from the following perspectives under the main theme of addressing the “prevention of global warming” which represent environmental issues closely related to “energy,” the contact point between Eco cardholders and Cosmo Oil.
   
   1. Support for sustainable development (for developing countries)
   2. Next-generation human development (support for environmental education for children)
2. Schedule for Invitation of Applications
   
   1. Application acceptance period: April 18, 2008 - June 20, 2008 (Applications must arrive at Cosmo Oil no later than June 20, 2008)
   2. Announcement of selection results: September 2008
      Only successful applicants will receive the notice of decision to support
   3. Financial support grant period: October 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009
3. Support Amount
   ¥2 million or less per project. We will support three to five organizations operating such projects.
